A new remake has been announced. They're remaking the 3rd game (Monsho no Nazo), and it's going to be called Fire Emblem: Heroes of Shadow and Light. There's going to be an aoptional "Casual Mode", in which any chracters who died will return at the end of the chapter (which I think takes away what makes Fire Emblem unique, even if it is optional).
